How today works
A half-day session. Roughly 3.5 hours. No slides. Laptop open from the start.
"Ollie ran a training session with me, and I have to say it was one of the best I've had. It's genuinely changed the way I work day to day. There's how I worked before that session, and how I work after, the biggest shift I've ever made in such a short space of time."
— Tasos, Head of Research @ CBRE
Part 1. Foundations (30%)
Getting everyone on the same page and set up properly.
- Introductions. Name, role, where you're starting from with AI.
- Your AI stack. What's in the room, and the three tools we'll use today.
- Tool setup. Claude, on a paid plan. Pro for one person, Team if you're a company. One window. Select your folder under the chat box and leave it on. That's Cowork. Nothing selected is plain chat.
- Prompting fundamentals. The four elements, with practice, not theory.
- Group exercise. Improve a real prompt together.
- Break. 10 minutes.
Part 2. Your workflows (70%)
This half is built around your work. You'll have flagged your biggest time drains before the session. This is where we tackle them.
- Priority mapping. Where is time being lost? We build a shared list.
- Workflow 1. Live demo, then hands-on with your real data.
- Workflow 2. Same again.
- Workflow 3. If time allows.
- Plugin setup. Install
practical-ai-plugin, star your folder, and start the interview. - Connectors. Connect the first few tools, and set what Claude is allowed to do.
- A skill. Turn one workflow you've just done into something you can run again.
- A scheduled task. Set one job to run without you starting it.
- Next steps. What to do from tomorrow. Finish the setup. Then use it on real email and calendar before you build more.
- Wrap up and questions.
How to get the most out of it
Bring real work. The messier the better. Documents you actually need to process, emails you need to write, data you've been handling by hand. AI is most useful on something real.
Don't worry about keeping up. Everything we build can be shared. You leave with working prompts, not just notes.
Ask as we go. If something isn't clicking, say so and we'll work through it.
